It is with great excitement and anticipation that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Wamego High School! As the new principal, I am honored to serve this incredible community and to be part of a school that holds a proud tradition of excellence in academics, character, and student leadership. At Wamego High School, every Red Raider is guided by the core beliefs of being Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. These values shape our daily actions and interactions, creating a culture where all students are empowered to succeed. We also uphold the principles of Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service, which are essential to both personal growth and the greater good of our school community.

A Message to Our Students: To our returning Red Raiders, welcome back! Your energy and commitment are the heart of our school, and we can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish this year. To our freshmen and new students, we are thrilled to welcome you to the WHS family. We are here to support you as you grow, explore, and make your mark in our school community. High school is a unique and transformative time—a period of discovery, challenge, and tremendous opportunity. Our mission at WHS is to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where each student can reach their highest potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Partnering for Student Success: Parents and guardians, your involvement and partnership are vital to the success of our students. We encourage open communication and collaboration throughout the school year. Whether it’s attending events, reaching out with questions, or engaging with your student’s academic progress, your support at home makes a meaningful difference.

Looking Ahead: This year, students will have access to a wide array of engaging programs, from athletics and fine arts to clubs, leadership opportunities, and community service. I challenge each student to set meaningful goals, step outside of their comfort zone, and make the most of every opportunity. This is your time—embrace it with curiosity, resilience, and Raider pride. On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for entrusting us with your student’s education. We are excited to embark on this journey together and are committed to making this school year the best one yet. Here’s to a year of growth, achievement, and unforgettable memories. Go Red Raiders!
